Our Values
As a brand, we didn't want to stray far from our roots while simultaneously embracing American business drive and innovation. To do this, we incorporated the 4 Adinkra symbols below in our label. Adinkra symbols originate from the Ashanti tribe, located in modern day Ghana. Each symbol has philosophical connotations that reflects beliefs and values. Due to it's meaningful symbolism you can find Adinkra symbols displayed on many Ghanaian business logos, artifacts, fabrics, and more.

Gye Nyame: Except God...
Narissauce has been in the works for years. We started selling the sauce intermittently years back to our friends. They encouraged us to make it official, but it's taken this long to see it come to life due to varied reasons. We are thankful to God for putting these supportive friends, as well as family in our lives and for also blessing us with the resources to nurture our baby. This is why Gye Nyame is strategically centered on our labels - God is the centerpiece of who we are. This symbol expresses the believe in an Almighty God who is above all things; Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient.

Akoma: Heart
The heart is a universal symbol of love, however it symbolizes patience and tolerance in Adinkra connotation. We aim to be great, but we do understand that it takes time to build an empire, so we intend to be patient and tolerant of all the "peppers" life throws at us while on this journey. We will take that with all the love we have and make some sauce!

Hwehwemudua: Measuring Stick
As a business, we pride ourselves on delivering the best product with unmatched service. We have set a high bar of excellence in production and delivery of our sauces, and will continue to iterate processes to only get better. This is what Hwehwemudua represents; quality and excellence.

Adinkrahene: King of Adinkra
We strive to be a leader in bringing a taste of African culture to your home, hence the Adinkrahene symbol, which represents leadership.
